I've been reading this book to get ready:
This week we're kicking off the book blitz for the HENGE audiobook with a chance to win an Amazon gift card. Also the big summer sale for my books starts today! You can grab an ebook from 99 cents to 1.99!
Below I selected an eclipse-related excerpt from HENGE to share. For this scene I created a moon that turns into the sun in Morgan's vision. I couldn't write about Stonehenge without mentioning the eclipse:
The moon looks like it’s still in the same position. As I stare at the orb, it seems to move. I rub my eyes. There are no clouds, but the moon appears to pass a star.
The moon is gliding.
Goosebumps rise on my skin as the moon peers at me through an opening in the Henge. It glows bright like the sun. The grass illuminates around me. But it doesn’t stay daylight for long. A shadow grows over the sun and then consumes it—an eclipse. A white halo emits from the black circle, turning a blood-red color like an iris around a pupil. From the corner of my eye, there is movement.A figure looms ahead. It seems to be looking at me from between the Henge. I gasp, backing away.
